Trip planners, the people who draw your route
One person designs it: your planner leads the first conversation, draws your route by hand, and explains why each night and each hotel is where it is.
They know the detail: the difference between the rooms at a palace hotel, which months a desert camp is comfortable, and how long the drive from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer really takes once you stop for chai.
- Who
- One trip planner from our Jaipur team
- When
- From first message to last airport drop
- Reach them
- WhatsApp, phone or email
- Hand-offs
- None, ever
- Landing late: they check that your first night is in a hotel close to the airport.
- Wedding season: they make sure a palace hotel isn't hosting a large wedding on your dates, or that your room is well away from it if it is.
- Pacing: a long drive is followed by a slow morning.
- Building around fixed things: festivals, the Friday closure at the Taj Mahal, and the safari zones at Ranthambore.
- The same person books it: once you approve the plan, your planner books everything and stays with you on WhatsApp throughout the journey.
- No passing along: you are never handed from a sales team to an operations team to a stranger. The person who designed your trip answers when you want to change it.
Local guides, born in each city

A new guide in each city: we don't send one guide around the whole state. Each old kingdom has its own history, dialect and pride.
The local telling: a local tells the story of Mewar or Marwar differently from an outsider reading from notes.
- Where from
- Born in each city, or long made it home
- Licensed
- Where licensing applies
- Shopping
- Never for commission
- Specialists
- Naturalists, birders, art historians
- What we look for: knowledge and good company, but above all guides who listen and watch how you respond.
- Reading the room: if you light up in front of a fresco, they'll slow down and find you more.
- A change of pace: if you've had enough of forts by the third day, they'll take you to a stepwell, a spice market or a heritage walk instead.
- Shopping, honestly: for block prints, gems or a rug, they'll take you to places we trust and help you judge quality. You are never steered and never pressed. Our shopping guide explains how.
- Specialist interests: naturalists on safari in Ranthambore and Jawai, birders at Bharatpur, and art historians for the painted havelis of Shekhawati or the murals of Bundi.
Chauffeurs, your companion on the road
You'll get to know each other. By the third day your chauffeur will know how you take your tea, which music you like, and whether you'd rather stop to photograph a village or press on to the hotel.
One car, one chauffeur: most of our journeys travel by road, in a private car with the same chauffeur for the whole route.
- Care over speed: a steady pace, a clean car, water on board, and roads they know well, including where to find a clean restroom on a long stretch.
- Language: enough English to talk about the landscape and the next stop. They aren't a substitute for your guide.
- Their job: to get you there safely and calmly.
- When to fly or take the train: a morning flight between Jaipur and Udaipur, or the train for part of a long route, can give you back a day.
- Read more: private chauffeur journeys explains how we combine road, rail and air, and getting around Rajasthan covers the practical detail.
On-call support, day and night
Never alone with a problem: your planner comes first, and behind them is a support team that can step in at any hour.
No explaining twice: they already have your full itinerary, hotel confirmations and preferences.
- First contact
- Your planner
- Behind them
- A support team, at any hour
- They hold
- Your itinerary, confirmations and preferences
- Before you fly
- Everything you need in one place
- Mostly small things: a later checkout, a change of restaurant, an extra night somewhere you love, a doctor's appointment, a lost charger.
- Occasionally bigger: a cancelled flight, or a road closed for a festival procession.
- Either way: one message, and someone deals with it.
- Before you travel: your route, hotel details, guide and chauffeur names, and how to reach your planner and the support team, all in one place.
- The rest of your preparation: our travel insurance guide and health and safety guide.
How the team works together
Guides are briefed: your planner briefs each guide before you arrive, so they know your interests, your pace and anything to avoid.
Timings flex: your chauffeur knows the day's timings and adjusts them with your guide if you want to linger or leave early.
- Hotels know ahead: they receive your preferences in advance, from bed type and dietary needs to celebrations and arrival times.
- Changes travel: any change you make reaches everyone who needs it, without you repeating yourself.
- We learn: after the journey, your planner asks what worked and what didn't, and that shapes the next journey we plan for anyone.
Team profiles
Coming soon: we're preparing introductions to the people in each of these roles.
- Until then: read our story, or see how we think about responsible travel.
- Meet your planner now: start planning your journey and talk to them in person, by phone or on WhatsApp.
