What cookies are
Some cookies are essential: without them, a website can't keep forms secure or remember what you just did. Others are used to measure visitors, personalise content or show advertising. We use only the first kind.
Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the site to work and to provide what you ask for, such as sending an enquiry through our plan my journey form, we don't ask for consent before setting them. You can still block or delete them in your browser, as explained below.
The cookies we use
csrftoken: form security
This cookie protects our forms, including the enquiry form and the newsletter sign-up, against cross-site request forgery, a kind of attack in which another website tries to submit a form in your name. It contains a random value and no personal information. With our current settings it lasts up to about a year, unless you delete it sooner.
sessionid: your session
This cookie may be set when the site needs to remember something about your visit from one page to the next. It holds only a random identifier that links to information stored on our server. With our current settings it lasts up to two weeks.
messages: notices
This cookie carries a short notice from one page to the next, such as the thank-you message you see after sending an enquiry or joining our newsletter. It is removed once the notice has been shown, or when you close your browser.
Fonts from Google Fonts
When you open a page, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers. Like any web request, that sends Google your IP address and basic information about your browser. As far as we're aware, Google Fonts does not set cookies on our site. Google's own privacy policy applies to the information it receives. We may later host the fonts ourselves, in which case we'll update this policy.
No analytics or advertising cookies
If we add analytics or any non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy first, list each cookie and its purpose, and ask for your consent before setting any cookie that isn't strictly necessary. The date at the top of this page will show when it last changed.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete our cookies at any time, or block them, through your browser's settings. If you block the csrftoken cookie, our forms won't work, so you may prefer to reach us by WhatsApp, phone or email instead, using the details on our contact page.
